Benesch Celebrates 75 Years of Excellence

Benesch is celebrating its 75th year of business by paying tribute – and paying it forward. To mark this exciting milestone, the firm has launched a year-long celebration packed with pride and appreciation programs and activities – including a community service initiative – to commemorate its rich history and honor employees, clients and the communities they serve.

Founded by Alfred Benesch in Chicago in February of 1946, Benesch has since grown exponentially through a series of successful mergers and acquisitions, geographic expansion and service diversification. Starting out as one man and one service (building design), the firm is now 750 employees strong in 18 states, serving a wide range of markets including railroad, construction management, water/wastewater, landscape architecture, transportation and civil/site planning, aviation, environmental and more.

Headlining the year’s anniversary celebration is a new employee program aiming to achieve 750 cumulative hours of community service to honor the firm’s 75 years in business. Offices will also compete in a ‘Most Charitable Office Competition,’ vying for the most community service hours logged in 2021, while promoting community engagement for years to come.

Other activities including employee wellness challenges, a food drive and a month dedicated to environmental awareness, rewarding employees’ eco-friendly acts with dollars to plant new trees in our communities.
