Project Engineer
Water Resources Project Engineer
We are looking to hire a Water Resources Designer with experience or interest in hydrology, hydraulics, and general water resources engineering. The project will include standalone water resources projects that include drainage studies, watershed modeling, floodplain mapping, and conceptual alternatives analysis. Other projects will include integration with design components, including flood mitigation, stormwater master planning, waterway restoration, water quality BMPs, and stormwater design. Additional projects will function as support for the design of Transportation projects across the company.
The ideal candidate will have experience in hydraulic analysis of open channels, dams, levees, and closed storm drainage systems; design components of open channels, culverts, bridges, and storm sewer infrastructure; scour analysis and streambank stabilization; and flood inundation mapping.
Location
This role is considered remote and can be field-based; therefore, willingness to travel to various project sites within the region on occasion is required.
Benesch’s Railroad Division is made up of highly skilled rail professionals, many of whom are former employees of operating railroads. This firsthand experience working on designing and maintaining active rail systems uniquely equips our team to develop innovative solutions to a wide variety of rail projects.
