Construction Project Manager

We have a career opportunity for a Construction Project Manager that will be a key member of our Denver Construction group. In this position you will work with clients, manage assigned projects, and project plans and the day-to-day operations. This position will supervise, and mentor assigned staff. This position will be based out of our Denver, CO office.

The Impact You Will Have
  • Provide leadership to assigned staff by reviewing work plans and identifying resources needed to perform assignments effectively. 
  • Support the assigned staff's growth through mentorship and perform annual evaluations. 
  • Execute project work plans and revisions created in conjunction with Group Manager. 
  • Research and develop unit costs for estimating purposes on extra work and monitor budget estimates, scope, and schedule. 
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations, including preparing project progress reports, facilitating project meetings, managing contract negotiations, administering sub-agreements, and reviewing work done by sub-consultants. 
  • Ensure that resources like vehicles and on-site equipment are appropriately allocated and maintained. 
  • Consistently reinforce the Benesch brand or collaboration, quality, innovation, and integrity, driving all aspects of projects to provide superior customer service.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, government agencies, and professional societies.
  • Provide solutions to project development and construction obstacles. 
What You Will Need
  • Licensed PE with a BS in civil engineering OR Construction Management.
  • 10+ years of experience working directly with DOT, Municipal and private clients. 
  • 5+ years of managing and working on construction projects.
  • Experienced working with DOT and will be well-versed in applicable codes and standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.  Schedule review a plus. 
  • Punctual, organized, and deadline-driven to provide quality work. 
  • Ability to work under time constraints dealing with numerous concurrent activities.
  • Strength in professional networking, client contact, contractors, and coordination.
  • Participation in professional organizations.
  • Ability to connect with internal staff at the appropriate level.
