Each year Steve collaborates with the Kansas City School District for a semester-long program called Diploma+. It’s a hands-on learning opportunity bringing 8th grade students into Benesch’s local office to design a housing development and sanitary sewer system. Steve’s team further enriches the experience with guided tours of local water treatment plants, drone demonstrations and more, offering a first-hand look at how engineering impacts the place these students live.
