Moritz Memorial Airport Runway & Land Acquisition

Benesch has served Moritz Memorial Airport since 2006. More recently, Benesch assisted the Airport in the stages of Land Acquisition in order to extend and widen Runway 17/35. This included legal boundary surveys, legal exhibits, and coordination with appraisers and FAA. Beginning in 2011, Benesch began an aeronautical survey and design services for the Runway 17/35 Extension and Widening Project. This project consists of extending the runway 583 feet and widening by 25 feet for an ultimate runway length of 4,200 feet x 100 feet. Benesch, along with our subconsultant Geodetix, Inc., are completing the aeronautic survey, geotechnical analysis and pavement evaluation, topographical survey, and project design in order to begin runway construction in 2015.
