Nissan of Monroe

Indian Trail, NC

Nissan of Monroe was constructed on a heavily wooded 11-acre site, adjacent to a four-lane highway. The site involved wetlands and a jurisdictional stream, making the minimization of environmental impact a necessity. Benesch developed a site plan that allowed for the construction of a 34,000 sf building and over 325 parking spaces. Because the building was adjacent to a busy highway, an easily identifiable entrance was designed by featuring brick pylons and attractive hardscape and landscape. As part of the entrance, turn lanes on the NCDOT highway were designed, as well as public water and sewer main extensions.
