Senior Level Promotions Announced at Alfred Benesch & Company

Chicago, Illinois – February 2016 – Alfred Benesch & Company (Benesch) announced several senior-level promotions, including staff movements at the corporate level as well as within the Illinois Division.

Formerly the Civil Group Manager for the Illinois Division, Laura McGovern, PE has been promoted to Chief Process and Innovation Officer for the company. In this new corporate role she will explore internal business and production processes to keep Benesch at the forefront of industry trends and innovation.

Stepping into the Illinois Division’s Civil Group Manager role is Ryan Thady, PE. Ryan has played a key role in leading the civil components of some of the Illinois Division’s most complex work – including I-74 over the Mississippi River, and reconstruction of the I-90 Jane Addams Memorial Tollway.

Mike Magnuson, PE, PTOE, AVS is also a member of the Illinois Division’s Civil Group, and leads the division’s Phase I practice. Along with his current role, he has also been named as the company’s Director of Value Engineering, charged with promoting this practice company-wide.

Andrew Keaschall, PE, SE has been named the Illinois Division’s Structural Group Manager, replacing David Morrill, PE, SE who retired in January. Andrew has built a reputation with our clients for being a go-to structural expert. His technical expertise and project management skills have contributed greatly to projects such as the final design of Wacker Drive in downtown Chicago and the new I-74 Mississippi River Bridge crossing between Iowa and Illinois.

Formerly the Naperville Branch Manager, Bill Epp, PE, SE is heading to Denver to lead Benesch’s Colorado Division. Bill has over 30 years of experience with the planning, design and management of civil, structural and transportation engineering projects.
