Municipal /Water Resources/ Project Engineer
We have a career opportunity for an experienced engineer who has previous experience with municipal projects including stormwater, water distribution, and sanitary sewer projects. The ideal candidate will have both a technical background and leadership experience to successfully design and manage a broad range of municipal projects.
The successful candidate will self-perform and direct project teams in the planning and design of infrastructure projects, as well as play an important role in managing client relationships. The position includes involvement in strategic initiatives that will continue to drive the growth of the municipal group in Georgia. This position has the opportunity for a flexible hybrid work schedule with some travel as necessary for client needs.
Location
This position will work from our Augusta office with opportunities in the field when necessary.
The Impact You Will Have
- Advanced recognition of the need for and development of design
- Perform hydraulic and budget analyses to provide valuable decision-support information for clients and community
- Prepare and/or Check and sign off on basic design calculations and plans
- Layout drawings for a component and demonstrate an understanding of relationship to the whole design and purpose
- Design elements/components of a project and coordinate development with other elements and disciplines within the scope of the project
- Demonstrate understanding between specifications, cost estimates and pay applications
- Assume responsibility for assigned design calculation files, assuring adequate independent QC reviews
What You Will Need
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience with municipal projects including stormwater, water distribution, sanitary sewers.
- Licensed PE in Georgia is preferred, or desire to obtain licensure quickly
- Increasing skills in creativity and judgment in application of engineering
- Increased knowledge of software appropriate for the discipline, showing proficiency in multiple programs specific to this
- Ability to collaborate with others in a team environment
- Experience in ESRI ArcMap GIS and/or hydraulic water modeling is a plus
- Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus
