As President of Benesch, Elizabeth is dedicated to strengthening Benesch’s position within the industry and leading the long-term vision of the company. Blending exceptional technical expertise with strategic acumen and people-centered leadership, Elizabeth has held several leadership positions and spearheaded numerous initiatives that have helped to shape the firm at the local, regional and corporate level. She joined Benesch in 2014.
Prior to serving as President, Elizabeth was Benesch’s North Regional Manager. In this role, she was responsible for operations and business development for the firm’s Divisions in Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Before that she headed the Illinois Division, which has delivered award-winning infrastructure improvements such as the 130th & Torrence Avenue Grade Separation, structural design and construction management of the Chicago Riverwalk, and the design reconfiguration of the Damen/Elston/Fullerton intersection.
Named by Crain’s Chicago Business as one of 2020’s Notable Women in Construction and Design, Elizabeth is widely recognized in the Illinois engineering community and beyond. She engages with multiple industry organizations including the American Council of Engineering Companies, Women’s Transportation Seminar and Illinois Road and Transportation Builders Association, where she serves on several subcommittees.
