Kenneth McClain Named Benesch’s North Regional Manager

POTTSVILLE, PA – Benesch is pleased to announce that Kenneth McClain has been named the firm’s next North Regional Manager. With more than 30 years of experience on both the client and consultant sides of the AEC industry, Ken brings a unique perspective into business growth and operations. He most recently served as Benesch’s Pennsylvania Division Manager.

“Ken has made a significant impact within the Pennsylvania Division and beyond since joining Benesch,” remarked Kevin Fitzpatrick, Benesch’s Chief Executive Officer. “He has successfully led organizational changes and deepened relationships with clients and teaming partners. Our local team leaders across the North Region look forward to collaborating with him.”

As North Regional Manager, Ken will oversee operations and business development for the firm’s North Region which includes offices in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Prior to joining Benesch, Ken was a Senior Client Service Leader where he was responsible for comprehensive business development activities and growth strategies for transportation clients in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Ken also spent twenty-one years at PennDOT, most recently working in the Secretary of Transportation’s office as the inaugural Alternative Funding Program Director. Notably, Ken also spent six years leading a team of over 900 employees as the District Executive of PennDOT District 6-0. In that role, he managed the overall operations of the state-owned highway and bridge network in the five-county metropolitan area of Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Ken is actively involved on the Board of Directors of ACEC/PA and the March of Dimes Transportation, Buildings, and Construction Committee, while also serving as the ACEC/PA East Region Chair. He has held leadership roles with the Greater Valley Forge TMA, Lehigh Valley Planning Commission, and East Penn Section of ASHE.
