Nicole Brown Elected to ACEC/NC Junior Board of Directors

RALEIGH, NC – Benesch Technical Manager Nicole Brown has been selected as a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies North Carolina Chapter (ACEC/NC) Junior Board of Directors. She was one of six professionals chosen statewide to represent the industry for 2023-2025, joining the nine inaugural members.

“It is truly quite an honor, and I am looking forward to working with a new group to promote the industry and increase and diversify involvement with the organization,” said Brown.

Throughout her term, Nicole will collaborate with the other junior board members to increase involvement among young professionals and develop ways to support their career growth in the industry.  They’ll also be working with the ACEC NC Board of Directors to provide feedback to increase diversity in ACEC/NC involvement and develop the next generation of industry leaders.

Nicole joined Benesch in 2019 and is a structural engineer with a focus in bridge design. She has extensive experience in multiple states designing and analyzing highway bridge components, retaining walls and culverts. In addition to her work with ACEC/NC Jr Board, Nicole had served as a co-chair for the ACEC/NC Structures Subcommittee, and co-chair for the Dr. Paul Zia Lecture Committee, an annual lecture showcasing major structural engineering projects from around the world.
