After 15 years of active involvement with the American Council of Engineering Companies of Georgia (ACEC Georgia), Benesch’s Georgia Division Manager Erik Hammarlund has been selected to serve on the organization’s Board of Directors. As a director, he will be representing the Georgia engineering community and advocating for the industry.

ACEC Georgia is the voice of the business of engineering in Georgia and advocates for public policy and legislation that will improve the business climate for the engineering industry, promote economic development and protect the integrity of the engineering profession. Erik has long supported this mission through his involvement with several committees including the Georgia Partnership for Transportation Quality (GPTQ) Committee, Program Delivery Committee and Procurement Committee.

“I look forward to working with ACEC staff and my fellow board members to continue developing ACEC programs, being a resource for legislative issues, networking with our member firms, increasing membership and promoting our GPTQ involvement,” shared Erik.

Erik joined Benesch in 2018 and currently serves as the Georgia Division Manager. In this role, he uses the expertise he has gained over his 30-year career to guide the operations and business development efforts of our offices in Augusta and Atlanta.
