Erik Hammarlund Named Georgia Division Manager
ATLANTA, GA – Benesch’s Erik Hammarlund, PE has stepped into his new role as Georgia Division Manager, bringing his over 30 years of industry experience to the position. Erik’s diverse design background, with an emphasis on transportation, water resources and land development, will serve the Division well as they continue to support clients across the U.S. on a wide range of highway, roadway, bridge, storm water and infrastructure projects.
Erik joined Benesch in 2018 as part of our acquisition of WR Toole Engineers. Over the course of his career, Erik has managed large multi-phased transportation projects, infrastructure projects and on-call contracts. His dedication to the engineering industry has helped to grow Benesch’s relationships with local governments and the Georgia Department of Transportation.
Erik’s professional affiliations include the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) and the Georgia Society of Professional Engineers (GSPE). He has been active for over ten years on the ACEC-Georgia Partnership for Transportation Quality (GPTQ) Consultant Relations Committees. Most recently, he served on the Program Delivery Committee and is now serving on the Procurement Committee.
As Georgia Division Manager, Erik will guide the operations and business development efforts of our offices in Augusta and Atlanta.
