Benesch is pleased to announce that George Horas, PE, VMA, has been named Chief Growth Officer. With more than three decades of industry experience and a 20-year career at Benesch, George will lead Benesch’s strategic growth initiatives and support the long-term success of the company. He joined Benesch in 2005.

In his current role as Director of Alternative Delivery, George has led the pursuit of new project opportunities in this growing market and developed process standards for delivering this work. He has cultivated strong relationships with contractors and national teaming partners, and has worked to elevate the Benesch brand across the country.

Prior to serving as Director of Alternative Delivery, George was the firm’s Lehigh Valley Division Manager for 12 years. Under his leadership, the Division nearly doubled in size and consistently met revenue, profit and sales goals, all while expanding its client base and increasing technical resources. He has also served on Benesch’s Strategic Planning Committee, Governance Committee and Leadership Transition Committee, and currently serves on Benesch’s Board of Directors. His industry organization involvement includes previous positions on the Board of a local chapter of ASCE, ASHE and the IBC Planning Committee of the ESWP.

Preceding George in this role is Chief Business Development Officer Jim Blanusha, who joined Benesch in 2012. George and Jim will work together through the remainder of 2025 to ensure a smooth transition of all business development related activities and initiatives. George will assume the role of Chief Growth Officer—which has been renamed to better reflect the position’s firmwide impact—in January 2026.
