At Benesch, our commitment to making a difference in communities across the country goes beyond our project work. Every year, our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team works to facilitate a wide range of philanthropic activities and initiatives to further serve our mission of helping communities. Our passion drives us to donate our time and talents to worthy causes that further connect us to the people we serve every day.
In 2025, Benesch employees partnered with local and national organizations to help foster stronger, more resilient communities. Efforts ranged from food and toy drives to park clean ups and monetary donations. Scroll down to learn more!

Our Charity Champions Make a Difference—One Hour at a Time
Throughout the year, employees are encouraged to participate in community service activities both individually and as part of office events. At the end of the year, we add up the hours and name one office our “Charity Champion”!
Our Naperville office contributed the most hours! Our champs spent over 1,855 hours volunteering their time to various organizations including Feed our Starving Children and the Illinois Railway Museum.
In other parts of the country, our employees were hard at work too! In 2025, we collectively logged 5,285.5 hours. From pitching in at community events to packing meals for kids in need, our employees’ efforts made a difference in dozens of communities.
Our Summer of Service
Our Summer of Service program encourages Benesch offices across the country to organize service events in their local community. In 2025, a total of 18 events took place – see some of the highlights below!
Lincoln Bike Kitchen – Lincoln, Nebraska
Lincoln employees volunteered at their local bike kitchen, cleaning donated bikes to get them ready for the youth community.
Clermont County Parks – Cincinnati, Ohio
The team worked to re-route a section of trail to allow for a more sustainable grade by cutting and dragging honeysuckle from the new alignment.
Hope Full Farm – Austin, Texas
Employees volunteered at Hope Full Farm by pruning plants, harvesting produce, mulching and fertilizing crops, and completing other miscellaneous farm chores.
Friends of the Chicago River – Chicago, Illinois
To support Friends of the Chicago River’s mission, Chicago employees pitched in to clean up litter from the river.
Birkin’ Biscuits Microenterprise – Jacksonville, Florida
Employees volunteered with North Florida School of Special Education – Birkin’ Biscuits Microenterprise. Staff teamed up with the school to make homemade dog treats.
Connecticut River Conservancy – Glastonbury, Connecticut
Once again, our employees volunteered to clean up the Connecticut River—an annual tradition for the Glastonbury office!
Fall Food Drive
Every November, our CSR Committee hosts a company-wide food drive to collect canned goods and cash donations for local food pantries ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. This year, our employees donated $35,731 with our Franklin office donating the most. To celebrate our employees’ incredible generosity, Benesch’s CSR Committee made an additional donation of $10,000 to Feeding America.
Doubling the Impact
Benesch helps employees’ generous giving go even further with a dollar-for-dollar match on charitable donations. Last year, 260 matching gift requests were granted. Employees donated a total of $49,678 —all of which was matched by Benesch.
In addition, six divisions within the company worked with the CSR committee to donate a total of $6,300 through our Division Specific Initiatives program.
Supporting the Next Generation
Our summer internship program allows students to work side-by-side with industry professionals while receiving the training and resources to develop a well-rounded set of skills. At the end of the summer, participants are invited to apply for our scholarship program. This year, Benesch awarded 71 students with $1,000 scholarships.

End-of-Year Giving
Each December, Benesch selects three charitable organizations to receive a portion of a $10,000 year-end donation. To help distribute the funds, we invite our professional and personal contacts to share in the joy of giving by casting votes for the organization of their choice.

Stepping into 2026
