Elizabeth Gallagher Named Next Great Lakes Regional Manager

CHICAGO, IL — Alfred Benesch & Company is pleased to announce Elizabeth Gallagher, PE, SE as the firm’s next Great Lakes Regional Manager.

Elizabeth joined Benesch in 2014 and has served as the Illinois Division Manager for the last four years, successfully managing and growing Benesch’s largest Division. Building on a deep, 70+ year history of providing exceptional bridge and roadway services, the Division has also grown in several other practice areas under her leadership, including transit, water resources and private development.

Prior to joining Benesch, Elizabeth led a program management team responsible for a $2.6 billion transit Capital Program in Chicago. She has successfully managed large-scale design projects for major transportation agencies such as the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority, Chicago Departments of Transportation, Illinois Department of Transportation, and Metra.

Elizabeth maintains active engagement in ACEC, the Women’s Transportation Seminar, the Illinois Road Builders Association and more.

As Great Lakes Regional Manager, Elizabeth will be responsible for operations and business development in the Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and Railroad Divisions. She will assume this new role in 2020, when current Regional Manager Kevin Fitzpatrick steps into the role of CEO.
