Division Manager

The Colorado Division Manager is a senior-level Officer responsible for the long-term growth, operational performance, and leadership of the Colorado Division. This role leads business development and operations in partnership with the Regional Manager, Chief Business Development Officer, and Chief Operating Officer, with responsibility for sustainable growth, financial performance, client relationships, and employee development.

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience, an established network within Colorado, and a proven ability to build client relationships, win work, develop teams, and translate market opportunities into business growth.

The Impact You Will Have
  • Lead the division’s short and long-term business strategy, operations, business development, annual sales goals, and budgets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients while expanding the company’s presence across Colorado.
  • Evaluate market trends and identify opportunities for geographic, client, and discipline growth and diversification.
  • Maintain a strong business development program that consistently secures profitable work and strengthens the company’s market reputation.
  • Monitor financial and operational performance, including chargeability, net revenue, profit, overhead, project performance, and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate workloads and resources across the division and facilitate cross-division collaboration when appropriate.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to identify staffing needs and attract, hire, develop, and retain talent.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Group Managers and division staff while building a strong pipeline of future leaders and successors.
  • Foster a strong culture of safety, quality, accountability, and compliance with company policies and Quality Management Program requirements.
  • Represent the company through client engagement, civic and professional organizations, presentations, industry involvement, and thought leadership.
  • Advise the Regional Manager on staffing, organizational matters, budgets, capital expenditures, compensation, promotions, and other division priorities.
  • Maintain strong communication and partnerships across clients, operations, leadership, and corporate teams.
What You Will Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Professional licensure or certification appropriate to the field.
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Established relationships and strong market knowledge within Colorado.
  • Demonstrated success developing client relationships, identifying opportunities, and winning work.
  • Strong business, financial, operational, communication, and people leadership skills.
  • Experience managing project and division financial performance, including chargeability, revenue, profitability, and overhead.
  • Active involvement in relevant industry and professional organizations, such as ACEC Colorado, APWA, or similar organizations.
