Chris is a highly accomplished and solutions-oriented corporate legal executive with extensive experience leading complex legal, risk management and human resources functions. Prior to joining Benesch, he served as General Counsel, Secretary & Director Human Resources for The Belt Railway Company of Chicago where he held enterprise-wide accountability for a $120M railroad operation jointly owned by all major U.S. freight railroads.
Combining his expertise in legal strategy, enterprise risk and executive leadership, Chris leads Benesch’s risk and safety functions, directing our organization’s professional liability, safety, compliance and legal agendas.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue University and earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He later studied at Harvard Business School and completed the General Management Program in 2022
