Chestnut Street Bridges Recognized for Preservation Efforts
PHILADEPHIA, PA – The successful rehabilitation of the Chestnut Street Bridges helped to enhance a vital river crossing from West Philadelphia into Center City, while rehabilitating 19th century structures to meet modern multi-modal transportation needs to ensure safe and efficient transportation facilities that will serve the existing and future needs of Philadelphia. In recognition of this work, the Preservation Alliance of Greater Philadelphia has selected the project to receive a Grand Jury Award.
