Asela Silva, AICP

Asela Silva is a seasoned transportation planner with a focus on public transportation. He has been a major contributor to transit development and long-range transportation plans for several metropolitan areas and transit systems across Florida. Asela has played significant roles in projects for Hillsborough Area Regional Transit, Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority and other key transit agencies.

Asela’s expertise extends to transit operation plans, corridor studies, site evaluation studies, regional and local congestion management studies, and bus rapid transit feasibility assessments. He also has experience developing long-range transit elements for various counties and conducting funding studies for metropolitan planning organizations.

Asela is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, the American Planning Association and the Institute of Transportation Engineers.
