CSX Transportation Public & Capacity Projects

As part of a multi-year General Engineering Consulting (GEC) contract with CSX-T, Benesch is leading public task order projects that affect the CSX-T system in multiple states; and capacity task order projects across their entire system that span 23 states and Ontario, Canada.

For public projects, Benesch administers and monitors various task order projects, providing civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, environmental and geotechnical expertise. These projects include sponsored rail-highway grade crossings, grade separations, and highway and bridge projects affecting CSXT-owned and operated facilities and properties.

For capacity projects, Benesch is responsible for the design, management, and various construction aspects of CSXT-funded projects throughout their system. Projects include planning, inspection, engineering and construction support for rail line capacity, bridges and structures, geotechnical conditions, surveying, ports and terminals, intermodal, automotive, coal, industrial and other commercial projects.
