SD11 & SD115 Corridors Study

As the population in Sioux Falls, Harrisburg and Lincoln County continues to climb due to job opportunities and development bringing families to the area, a need to study two Northern Lincoln County Corridors (SD11 & SD115) was identified by the South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT), City of Sioux Falls, City of Harrisburg and Lincoln County.

Growth in this area accounts for approximately half of the state’s estimated population growth. As a result, there are numerous infrastructure projects occurring concurrently, including new schools, the completion of the southern segment of Veteran’s Parkway, and many other infrastructure developments.

The SDDOT selected Benesch to perform a corridor planning study for a portion of the SD Highway 11 (SD11) and SD Highway 115 (SD115) corridors in Lincoln County, South Dakota. As part of this study, Benesch leveraged our technology to create a virtual meeting room that allowed the public and interested stakeholders a complete public meeting experience from their own space and on their own schedule.
