Route to 2050 MTP
In addition to ensuring this plan complies with federal regulations, Benesch is supporting the MPO in addressing their identified emphasis areas of safety, resiliency, emerging technologies and housing coordination. Focus is also being placed on evaluating multimodal accessibility and ensuring equity is considered throughout its development.
The 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) will look to implement new and innovative transportation system performance measures that de-emphasize traditional road “congestion” in lieu of broader desirable transportation outcomes.
The update process will consider a wide range of social, mobility, freight, safety, infrastructure, environmental, energy, equity, resiliency and economic factors reflected by the MTP’s Goals, Objectives and Measures/Performance Measures (GOM) to confirm existing and identify future transportation needs.
