Town of Indian Hills

Chestnut Park

Indian Hills, NC

A growing population and increased demand for park and recreation facilities resulted in development of a 51-acre community park in downtown Indian Trail. Benesch worked closely with the Town to complete construction documents for Phase One of the parks.

The first phase of the park was situated on 10 acres of the overall site. This included two multi-purpose fields, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts and a one-acre common area between the courts and fields. The common area, also known as the “quad”, is framed by a restroom building, picnic shelter and arbors. The quad functions as a small civic park and is used for Town festivals and events, which required the development of a multi-purpose use design.
