As lead consultant, Benesch assembled a robust team of professionals to provide project management and technical support during the engineering design phase of this project, which included providing technical design reviews, comment tracking, and coordination of multiple design disciplines and stakeholders, including the City Kansas City Area Transit Authority and the Kansas City Streetcar Authority.

Benesch’s services transitioned to providing construction management and quality assurance for the construction phase of this project, which included a Construction Manager at Risk delivery method to complete this $350 million project that includes Federal Transit Administration funding and oversight.

The duties included field observation, project controls, review of monthly schedule and pay applications, quality audits and close collaboration with the ownership team to meet the project goals.

Benesch actively participated in the project’s Value Engineering and Risk Assessment workshop, contributing expertise and insights. Our coordination efforts were instrumental in ensuring the smooth progression of the project and fostering collaboration among the key stakeholders.
