Sun City at Carolina Lakes

Sun City Carolina Lakes is an active adult retirement community encompassing approximately 1,230 acres. The community will eventually include 3,300 homes, ten lakes, an 18-hole golf course, and a range of active and passive recreation amenities. Benesch successfully designed, permitted, and implemented two single-family residential communities and three multi-family communities within Sun City. Additionally, we assisted with the design and engineering of the golf clubhouse and the primary amenity center, which includes a 35,000-square-foot building, two pools, and championship tennis and bocce courts. These recreation facilities are linked to the remaining community with walking and golf cart trails enhancing the active adult lifestyle.

In addition to assisting in the development of the residential communities and amenities, Benesch was a team member in the development of water quality standards, helping ensure that the development protects its lakes, streams and water features.
