Big Y Express

Benesch has partnered with Big Y Foods on various site development projects for several years. Benesch has assisted Big Y Foods with site development and architectural design services for supermarkets, fueling stations and convenience stores throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Located a quarter-mile from the existing Big Y supermarket along State Route 83, this was an ideal location for the express store and fueling operation to supplement their supermarket. Benesch provided the site and store design and additional services including survey, permitting, and construction inspection. The project required extensive coordination with the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
