WCAA Water Operator
Benesch is currently acting as the backup operator to fill in for the primary airport water operator during scheduled leaves and for off-hour emergency repairs and other general absences.
On this project, Benesch was responsible for performing all Michigan Department of Environmental Quality required testing and inspection as well as assisting in the preparation of all required tests, reports, etc. We were also “on call” and mobile to support the airport’s water operation on a four-hour notice, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year; including holidays.
Benesch also prepared to respond to a water main break wherever one occurred on the Airport’s property within the boundaries of the Airport Operations Area (AOA). Our team coordinated repairs with airport personnel and other Contractors.
Additional responsibilities included conducting hydrant flow testing and updating the GIS database and hydraulic models.
