Yadkin County Comprehensive Master Plan

Benesch worked with Yadkin County to develop its first comprehensive plan. The plan focused on public recreation as well as eco-tourism opportunities. An important component of the County’s plan was developing a recreational Master Plan for a newly constructed reservoir. The Master Plan provided an illustrative site plan for the reservoir’s primary recreation area, and provided an overall lake plan showing multi-use trail routes, lake access, hunting areas, and a disc golf course. The Master Plan process included public workshops, stakeholder meetings, and coordination with federal and state regulatory agencies.
